Initial description: I thought since there was three on one side and two on the other side I should do what example three showed so I took all blocks and put them to the edge in their blue side.
Final description: I thought the pattern was to put the red blocks to the inside part of their blue color like it showed in example 2.

Initial description: Example 2 showed a merge toward the middle of the the blue areas.

Initial description: Looking at the input/output it seemed that he different colored sides (dark blue/light blue) always went away from each other in most cases. opposite ends.
Final description: The pieces seemed to either slide apart or come together. seeing as the first attempt was not them going apart, they must come together. I colored the left half dark blue then the light blue side and brought the red bricks together.

Initial description: Move each red shape so that it is against its closest border
Final description: bring every red shape in a light blue area to the left edge of the light blue space and every red shape in the dark blue area to the right edge of the dark blue space
